AORN Foundation Corporate Giving
Corporate philanthropy is crucial in helping the AORN Foundation fulfill our mission. Corporate gifts help us improve surgical patient safety, address the nation's critical nursing shortage, and ensure a bright future for perioperative nursing. At the same time, these gifts deliver the sometimes intangible bur always enduring benefits associated with corporate goodwill and social responsibility.
We work together with our corporate partners to develop customized giving opportunities to support scholarships, educational programs, leadership development, and surgical safety initiatives. Ask us how we can help you create a program that is meaningful to your employees and customers, and enhances the reputation of your company.
Endowed or Named Scholarships
The AORN Foundation scholarship program can create an endowed or annual named scholarship with a minimum donation of $1,000 for a one-time scholarship or $25,000 for an endowed scholarship. Companies can designate a scholarship to a specific program such as Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master’s of Science in Nursing, Master’s in Business Administration, or doctorate level scholarships.
Education Grants
Education grants assist perioperative nurses with registration and travel costs to attend seminars, conferences, and the national AORN Congress.
Research Grants
AORN believes that research should be the foundation for perioperative nursing practice and that evidence-based practice is fundamental to quality patient care. AORN's commitment to excellence and promoting evidence-based standards of practice are summarized in AORN's research priorities, developed by the Perioperative Research and Evidence-Based Practice Committee.
Matching gift programs are a fundamental source of corporate support for the AORN Foundation. As a benefit to employees, companies can increase the impact of their employees' gifts to the AORN Foundation by matching employees' contributions.
