Gifts to the AORN Foundation can make a difference in the lives of perioperative nurses today and in generations to come. Every donation helps the Foundation fulfill its mission by funding continuing education, scholarships, leadership development training, research to improve patient and workplace safety, and innovative online resources.

There are many ways to give to the AORN Foundation. Donors can set up a matching gifts program to support a particular campaign, or choose to make a one-time donation to support the area of greatest need. Naming opportunities such as scholarships can honor a friend or loved one, or you can leave a lasting legacy by including the AORN Foundation as a planned giving component to your estate plan.

Tribute Gifts

• Recognition Gifts - Annual gifts can be made to the Foundation in honor or in recognition of a family member, friend, or colleague to honor a special accomplishment or recognize a special occasion.  We will acknowledge your tribute gift by sending a note to the family or friend in whose name the gift was made.  The amount of your gift will not be mentioned, only that you were thinking of them.  You will then be sent a separate receipt for the gift.
• Memorial Gifts - Memorial gifts are a way to remember a loved one, and we welcome your gifts in their name. To make a memorial donation, please include the name of the person you are remembering and the name and address of those you would like us to notify of your gift.

The AORN  Foundation values individuals, organizations, corporations and anyone who invests in the Foundation through their gifts. Every gift is important. The Foundation has established recognition clubs as a special way of saying "thank you" to donors who contribute at specific levels.
