Education Grants

Complex patients needs, new advances in technology, and economic pressures are driving the need for more education for perioperative nurses. Nurses need innovative continuing education programs to maintain competency and to ensure safe and high-quality patient care. The AORN Foundaiton is dedicated to supporting nurses by providing individual and chapter education grants to meet these needs.

The AORN Foundation offers education grants to AORN members to help defray travel costs to attend specialty seminars and the annual AORN Congress. AORN chapters and state councils are also eligible to apply for grants to assist in defraying costs for speakers for their chapter or state council meetings.

AORN Ambulatory Conference Grant

The AORN Foundation is offering four (4) grants for the 2010 Ambulatory Conference, October 29-30, 2010 in Denver, Colorado supported by a grant from COPIC Insurance.  Four grants will be awarded in the amount of $250 to two (2) recipients from the state of Colorado and two (2) recipients from the state of Nebraska.
