MEMBERSHIP GRANTS

Staying connected to your professional association is important.

The AORN Foundation strives to link you to education on safe patient care. Your membership in AORN is your link to access valuable educational resources to continually improve practice and the care you provide.

With the current trying economic times, the AORN Foundation is supporting AORN members by helping those who may be experiencing financial hardships. The AORN Foundation is offering membership dues grants to cover national dues of $80. Individuals will only be required to cover the $20 chapter portion of membership dues.

The membership grants are available on a monthly basis from August to November 2009. Each month, 20 grants will be awarded.

To Apply:

Individuals must be either a lapsed AORN member who lapsed November 2008 through August 2009 or current member of AORN due for renewal September 2009 through December 2009.

Members who have already renewed are not eligible to apply.

Individuals must complete an application and provide:

• Contact Information
• Number of Years an AORN Member
• Completed essay

Applications are due by the last day of each month August through December 2009 and grant recipients will be notified of acceptance by the 15th of the following month.

Application Review and Acceptance Process:
An internal committee will review applications each month. Acceptance will be primarily needs-based and, secondary to this, based on previous membership commitment and involvement.
