National forum to focus on ORs of the future
AORN is participating in the third annual national conference on Adding, Updating and Expanding Operating Rooms of the Future, Oct 18-19 in Philadelphia and Nov. 7-9 in San Francisco. The meetings will be presented as a national forum to focus on the ways hospitals can leverage state-of-the-art OR technology and design innovations for more competitive and advanced surgical services and facilities.
Specific topics to be discussed at the conference include:
- Transforming today's ORs into ORs of the future
- How hospitals are utilizing robotics, computer integrated surgical systems, wireless technologies and the latest advancements in medical technology in the OR
- Planning and funding integrated surgical suites for improved patient safety, surgical efficacy and operational efficiency
- Evaluating emerging trends and innovations in OR technology and design to advance the latest surgical services, decrease operating costs and improve surgical outcomes
- Materializing the surgeon's vision in the development and design of the OR
- Key Considerations in medical technology, OR Design and implementation strategy
