Chapter Excellence Awards Program

History
Local chapters were recognized from 1989-1996 with one overall Chapter of the Year award. As this program expanded in 1997, chapters were honored with Bronze, Silver, and Gold awards. One year later, chapter size categories of small, medium, intermediate, and large were added to encompass participation from the increasing number of local chapters. Awards were given in the areas of Continuing Education, Legislative, Membership, Newsletter, and Research, based on surveys completed by the chapters. Chapter of the Year awards were given to those chapters submitting entries in all five of the above categories. To better reflect the membership, the intermediate and large chapter size categories were changed in 2001. The current Chapter Excellence Awards program was established in 2006 to encourage participation and submissions.  

ALL chapters, no matter what size, are encouraged to apply. Review the Chapter Excellence Award Submission Tips and try something new! Highlight your chapter’s hard work and dedication to the profession of perioperative nursing. Don’t count your chapter out of the application process – apply today!

       2.   Download MS Word® format application and save to your computer.
       3.   Type in gray-shaded areas as required.
       4.   Print completed application.
