Outstanding Achievement in Specialty Assembly Leadership

History

The 2007-2008 Awards Committee recommended this new award category for ONE award to be available to members participating in their Specialty Assembly. The idea was to create only one category that would apply across the 23 Specialty Assemblies. Several Specialty Assembly Coordinating Council members volunteered to assist in defining this new award. It was approved by the Board of Directors in 2008. The first recipient, Terri Aldama, RN, MSN, CNOR, CRNFA, was honored at Congress 2009 in Chicago.
