About the Chapter Website Directory

AORN currently has approximately 350 chapters and the directory below provides links to many of those chapters. Some chapters maintain a stand-alone website, some chapters use OR Nurse Link -- AORN's online social network -- for their web communications, and a handful of chapters don't maintain a presence on the web. As of February 1, all chapters must maintain a web site in accordance with the Updated Accountability Standards.

(Note: If you are searching for chapter member information, only chapter officers can access rosters and reports.)

Chapters on OR Nurse Link

AORN is working toward transitioning chapters from stand-alone websites to ORNurseLink.org, AORN's online social network, which allows chapters to easily hold discussions, email all chapter members, share documents, and post information about chapter meetings.

Every AORN chapter has a pre-established group on OR Nurse Link populated with all members of that chapter. Chapter officers are automatically made group owners and have special site permissions.

If you want to find your chapter's group on ORNurseLink.org, login to the site with your AORN username and password and your chapter will be listed under My Groups in the My Network box.

Creating a Stand-Alone Chapter Website

Because of OR Nurse Link's launch in January 2010, we're no longer setting up individual chapter websites on the community.aorn.org platform, and we're encouraging chapters to use OR Nurse Link chapter groups instead.

If you'd rather your chapter not use OR Nurse Link for its web communication needs, you have the option of creating a stand-alone website on your own.

For a free website builder that's very easy to implement and easy for members to use, we recommend Google Sites.
