Purpose Statements
- Enhance communication among perioperative nurses who practice in either a freestanding, office-based, or hospital-based ambulatory surgery facility.
- Provide specialty education related to perioperative practices for the ambulatory surgery patient.
- Serve as a resource for health care professionals.
- Facilitate application of perioperative research to the ambulatory surgery patient.
