Understanding and Interpreting Financial Statements - Event #07010 (3.3 CH)
This online course provides the basic knowledge to interpret and use financial data to improve performance, efficiency, and patient safety. Included in this module:
  • Two types of statistical reports that can be used to evaluate purchasing decisions
  • Types of statistical data used to support budget development
  • Uses of statistical data to support program development or maintenance
Meeting Management - Event #07011 (1.7 CH)
This online course provides practical guidelines for planning and conducting effective, productive meetings. Included in this module:
  • Provides two vital purposes of meetings
  • Identifies rationales for choosing a particular meeting type
  • Demonstrates how a meeting agency outlines the purpose/direction of a meeting
  • Identifies several types of meeting processes
  • Demonstrates how to facilitate positive group interaction

Performance Improvement - Event #07012 (3.5 CH)
This online course provides a basic knowledge on perioperative improvement (PI) activities necessary to meet regulatory requirements. Analyzing performance gaps, planning, and developing interventions for future PIs and evaluating the results of these improvements is covered. Included in this module:
  • Lists the objectives of a PI program
  • Discusses different plans that can be used
  • Identifies how to develop a PI plan to address a specific need

Important: When registering, confirm that AORN has the correct registrant email address. Login information will be sent within three business days of registering for the course. Registrants have 16 weeks from the time of registration to complete the course.

Extension Fee
These courses are accessible for four months from the date of enrollment.  Should you require an extension, there is a $50 fee per month with a maximum extension of three months.

Accreditation
AORN is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

AORN is provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP 13019.
