You will also:
- Recognize the perioperative nurse’s role in caring for patients with complications associated with acute or chronic conditions.
- Apply test-taking strategies for the CNOR Examination.
How does it work?
This self-paced online course teaches effective test-taking strategies. It reviews perioperative content based on the latest perioperative standards and recommended practices and other sources. Participants will receive a 15-question pretest, 64 questions interspersed throughout the course, and a 100-question practice exam. The course is accessible for four (4) months after purchase and participants earn 30 contact hours.

Completion requirements
Registrants must pass the practice exam at the end of the course with a score of at least 90 percent and complete the course evaluation to earn the contact hours. You will not earn additional contact hours if you retake the course or its revised versions.

Do you need more time?
This course is accessible for four (4) months from the date of enrollment. If you need an extension, there is a $50 fee per month, with a maximum extension of four (4) months. Extension months must be consecutive. Please call customer service at 800-755-2676 to request an extension.
Taking the CNOR Exam
AORN does not administer the CNOR exam or confirm CNOR status. For information or eligibility requirements and CNOR exam registration, visit the CCI website. In order to plan your study time effectively and avoid an extension fee, it is suggested that you confirm eligibility and register for the exam before registering for this course.
Money-Back Guarantee
If you fail the exam and meet the five criteria below, you may either receive a refund of the cost of the Preparing for the CNOR Exam online course or retake the course for one 4-month period at no charge.
To qualify for the money-back guarantee, you must:
- Complete the course before you take the CNOR exam.
- Take the CNOR exam no sooner than three (3) months and no later than six (6) months after purchasing the course. First, ample time must be allowed to study the content and second, the exam should be taken while the content is still fresh. Those who take the CNOR exam either within three months of purchasing the course or after six months, will not qualify for the money-back guarantee.
- Provide AORN customer service a copy of the assessment letter from CCI indicating that the participant did not pass the exam.
- Send refund claim to AORN customer service within 60 days of taking the CNOR exam.
