| 9:55 - 11:15 AM | Journey to Leadership 1.3 CE Commander Maureen Pennington, RN, MSN, CNOR Commander Pennington’s eight month tour of duty in Iraq in 2006 earned her the Bronze star for “heroic or meritorious achievement.” In October, 2007 she received the Minerva Award. The Minerva award, named for the Roman goddess whose image is on California’s state seal, honors women who “changed the state and nation with their courage, strength, and wisdom.” Maureen will provide a reflection of a 21–year career as a navel perioperative nurse. Contact Hours
Continuing nursing education contact hours are awarded for content that meets the ANCC definition of continuing nursing education. To earn contact hours for a session, the participant must be in attendance for 90% of the session.

AORN is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
AORN is provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP 13019. Check with your state board of nursing for acceptability of education sessions for relicensure.
Cancellation or Replacement of Speaker
AORN reserves the right to substitute an equally qualified instructor in an emergency and reserves the right to cancel or substitute sessions.
