AORN live and previously recorded webinars present the latest clinical and management issues, periop news, and best practices to promote safety and optimal outcomes for patients undergoing operative and other invasive procedures.
Prep for CNOR (30 nursing contact hours)
This online course prepares you for successful completion of the CNOR examination. The goal of this course is to assist perioperative nurses in preparing to take the CNOR exam, reduce the level of intimidation, and increase the probability of passing the CNOR exam. More information about the CNOR Certification can be found on the CCI Website.

Ambulatory Surgery Administrator Certificate Program (52 Contact Hours or AEU's1)
This course begins with a two-day, face-to-face seminar followed by 11 online learning modules. Designed to prepare you for your role as ASC Administrator, topics cover the full spectrum of knowledge required by ASC Administrators today. This course is also used to prepare for the CASC exam.
Advanced Ambulatory Surgery Administrator Certificate Program (20 to 25 Contact Hours or AEU's2)
This self-paced, online course consists of 10 learning modules. You must complete eight out of ten modules to receive the Certificate of Completion. You may also purchase the learning modules as stand-alone courses and earn 2.5 AEU's per learning module.
Surgical Services Management Certificate Program
After completing a large-scale, national survey of surgical service managers, CCI developed a certificate program open to all nurses and non-nurses. The content of the program is focused in six general areas identified from the evidence gathered in the national survey. These areas are: professionalism, leadership, communication and relationship management, financial management, surgical services, and human resource management. The program fulfills a number of professional goals. Primarily, it enhances your knowledge and ability to function in a management role.
University Programs
AORN members may take advantage of university programs from the University of Colorado Denver (certificate programs and Professional Advancement RN to BS: An Online Bachelor of Science in Nursing), University of Indianapolis (certificate programs and Master of Science in Nursing programs), and Colorado Technical University (RN to BSN program). Preferred rates may apply, contact individual universities for further details.
Leadership Academy
A unique, 9 month program designed to teach you the principles of effective leadership and provide opportunities to put these principles into practice. Limited to only 25 perioperative nurses. Students successfully completing the academy will be awarded college credit by Virginia Commonwealth University.
