OR Manager and AORN agree to combine fall meetings
Perioperative leaders will be able to reap the benefits of AORN's Leadership Specialty Assembly Conference and OR Manager's Managing Today's OR Suite Conference at one location due to an agreement between AORN and OR Manager to combine the meetings into one conference held in Washington, D.C. Oct. 29-31.
The AORN/OR Manager conference is the result of a joint agreement signed in January by AORN Executive Director Linda Groah, RN, MSN, CNOR, FAAN, and OR Manager President Elinor S. Schrader to combine the meetings.
This collaborative conference will allow attendees to take advantage of education and networking opportunities offered by both associations in one location, explained Groah. "We understand that perioperative managers have limited time and resources to attend multiple meetings throughout the year. This combined meeting gives OR Manager and AORN the opportunity to jointly provide perioperative leaders with the information they need to keep their OR's running efficiently and provide safe patient care," she said.
"We welcome the opportunity to collaborate with AORN," said OR Manager president Schrader.
