Member Ambassadors

As a member of AORN, you know the value of membership. As an AORN Member Ambassador, you are in a unique position to contribute to the growth and advancement of perioperative nursing and the professional organization dedicated to this profession. Your recruiting efforts will directly strengthen the association and help strengthen the professional development of your colleagues.

What Is a Member Ambassador?
A Member Ambassador shares the value of membership in a professional association with colleagues and helps them to become new members while earning incentives for your efforts.

In addition to recruiting new members, you'll also help keep AORN strong by renewing current members. We'll support your efforts by giving you the information and tools you need to help you be successful.

Who Is Eligible to Be a Member of AORN?
AORN membership is open to the following categories:

  • Registered professional nurse
  • Retired registered professional nurse
  • Students who are pursuing education leading to eligibility to sit for the registered nurse licensing examination
  • Associate (non-registered nurse) members

How Do I Get Started Recruiting?
Complete the form below to sign up as a Member Ambassador. Provide your Ambassador ID number, which is also your AORN Member number, to any new or  returning member. They should note your ID number when submitting a membership application by mail or fax, calling our toll free number, or visiting the AORN website. No matter how they sign up, if they provide us with your Ambassador ID number, you get credit. In addition, you'll receive a quarterly update from AORN with recruiting tips and information and status of reports for your recruiting efforts.

If you have any questions, please contact Marian Burrell in the AORN Member Services Department at 800-755-2676, Ext. 275. Thank you for your efforts to shape the future of AORN.
