Senior News Editor/Writer, News Department
Responsibilities: Carina oversees the News department and manages, plans, reports and edits news coverage for AORN's monthly newsletters, including AORN Connections print and online and AORN Advocacy Update. She also works with the News Editor/Writer to coordinate interactive news offerings, including video Web newscasts and podcasts. Carina joined AORN in 2006.
Past experience: Carina has written about science and medical issues for The Seattle Times, The Boulder Daily Camera, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, the University of California, San Diego and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. She is also a past AAAS science writing fellow and has conducted her own archaeological field work in Britain, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
