OB RN Circulator Course
Standards of care in the OB surgical suite should be the same as those followed in the main OR surgical suite and anywhere in the facility where surgical and other invasive procedures are performed.
The goal of this specialized core curriculum is to provide basic perioperative education to OB RN Circulators so that they have the knowledge required to provide safe patient care. The curriculum utilizes a blended learning model incorporating various learning modalities including online didactic content, skills-based labs, and a clinical preceptorship.
AORN recently made extensive revisions to its Periop 101: A Core Curriculum for OB Nurses. The course now consists of 22 modules from the original core curriculum that have been updated to be directly applicable to the OB RN Circulator. The final exam has also been updated, based on the revised content. Participants who successfully complete this program will receive 33.6 nursing contact hours.
If you already have Periop 101: A Core Curriculum at your facility, you can use any of your prepaid student seats for OB nurses or order more seats without having to sign a new agreement. Want a preview? Now you can try the course for free!
