Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of the eSubscription?

  • The content is electronic – This allows multiple users to access the content from various computers at any time making it much easier to reference or share than a hard copy book.
  • The content is updated during the year – As updates are made throughout the year, the new content will be available in the eSubscription.  The eSubscription will be updated at least semi-annually.
  • The content is searchable – The search features of the eSubscription allow you to search the content for every occurrence of a particular term or phrase. When search results are found, the page number and a link to the term or phrase will be provided.

What are concurrencies and how do I determine the right number of concurrencies for my facility?
Concurrencies represent the number of users who can access the content in AORN’s Perioperative Standards and Recommended Practices eSubscription simultaneously.  For example, if you purchase the 2 concurrency subscription, two people would be able to access the content at the same time.  To establish the right number of concurrencies for your facility, determine the number of people who need access to the content simultaneously.

An IP address is a numerical identification that is assigned to computers participating in a computer network.
