AORN's Perioperative Nursing Consultation service is a benefit of AORN membership, providing expert professional consultation on clinical and management practice issues. Perioperative Nursing Specialists at AORN's Center for Nursing Practice provide professional information and consultation by email or phone on a wide range of topics such as:

• Patient care and safety,
• Workplace safety,
• Evidence-based best practice,
• Aseptic technique,
• Infection control,
• Instrument care and sterilization practices,
• Standards and regulatory compliance,
• Perioperative  management in hospital and ambulatory surgery settings,
• Documentation of nursing care and application of the PNDS vocabulary, and
• PNDS Benchmarking
