AORN developed this comprehensive resource to raise perioperative staff awareness of the inherent realities of surgical fires and to provide proactive tools to promote fire prevention, plan effective response strategies, and to develop department-specific evidence-based policies and protocols to protect perioperative patients and staff.
AORN members may download the Fire Safety Tool Kit and earn 4.0 free contact hours for successfully completing the session evaluation and registration forms included with each CD in the tool kit.
Non-Members may purchase the Fire Safety Tool Kit and will be charged a small fee for contact hour processing.
