What to expect as a member of AORN's Grassroots Network

AORN has developed a grassroots network which will be utilized by State Legislative Coordinators and others to support AORN's legislative priorities and initiatives in each state and with the federal government. AORN members can sign up to be part of this exciting campaign. By signing up, AORN members agree to be contacted by AORN at the direction of State Legislative Coordinators or others on behalf of AORN, to participate in legislative initiatives, including:

     1) Receiving updates regarding AORN legislative priorities and initiatives via email,
           letter and telephone and automatically receiving the monthly Advocacy Update
     2)   Writing letters, contacting elected officials, and appearing (schedules permitting) at
            lobby day and other lobbying events in your state
     3)   Making telephone calls to your state legislators supporting AORN's public policy
           position and initiatives
     4)   Inviting lawmakers to your hospital, ASC or place of employment and to be a
           resource for them on OR and nursing issues
