Safe Patient Handling Tool Kit
Based on the AORN guidance statement and algorithms to prevent musculoskeletal injuries associated with improper moving and lifting techniques, the Safe Patient Handling Tool Kit provides essential resources to educate perioperative personnel about the correct and safe way to move patients and equipment in the perioperative environment.
AORN Members may download the tool kit and awareness posters for free and earn 1.4 contact hours for successfully completing the learner evaluation and answer sheet included with the Tool Kit.

Contact Hour Information
AORN Members may earn contact hours by completing the evaluation in the Safe Patient Handling and Movement Tool Kit. Simply download the Tool Kit, follow the directions, and complete the learner evaluation and answer sheet. Members may earn 1.4 free contact hours through December 2013.
AORN is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
