Single- and multi-day educational events, including the annual AORN Congress, offer the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in perioperative nursing while connecting with other AORN members across the nation.

  • Periop 101: A Core Curriculum saves facilities time and money by offering an evidence-based education program written by experts and based on AORN's Standards, Recommended Practices, and Guidelines.
  • Professional Development programs will help you advance your career. These programs include several certificate programs from AORN (Ambulatory Surgery Administrator Certificate and Advanced Ambulatory Surgery Administrator Certificate programs), University-based Programs from the University of Colorado Denver (certificate programs and Professional Advancement RN to BS: An Online Bachelor of Science in Nursing), University of Indianapolis (certificate programs and Master of Science in Nursing programs), and Colorado Technical University (RN to BSN program).
  • Continuing Education modules offer you the opportunity to enhance your clinical or managerial knowledge and earn contact hours.

AORN also offers a thorough guide to preparing for and submitting clinical improvement/innovation or research Poster Abstracts, which can be displayed at an AORN educational event.
