Purpose
After completing this educational module, the perioperative RN will be able to clean the perioperative environment appropriately and teach others to clean according to current evidence in order to provide a safe environment for patients, health care personnel, and others in the perioperative environment.
Objectives
- Identify evidence-based environmental cleaning procedures.
- Recall environmental cleaning frequencies.
- Identify how to limit the spread of transmissible infectious agents during the cleaning process.
- Recall education, policies and procedures, quality assurance, and performance improvement measures related to environmental cleaning.
Course Requirements
This course contains three modules with a total of 88 questions. To receive 2.0 contact hours for this course, you must achieve mastery of the content and submit an evaluation as instructed at the end of the course.
