The curtain fell on the 71st AORN Expo on Tuesday, marking the conclusion of four enriching days filled with dynamic learning, vibrant exchange, and invaluable networking opportunities.

  • New AORN President Nakeisha Tolliver kicked off her 2024-2025 term with a rousing call – "Together We Rise". Read story.

In the public space, we asked nurses their predictions for changes to Perioperative Nursing in the next 75 years. Here are the top three:

  • Perioperative practice is going to get even more technical requiring increased education and training.
  • Artificial intelligence and other technology will create new types of roles for surgical nurses.
  • Robotic will be more integrated into surgical procedures.
