The AORN Go Clear Award™, a surgical smoke-free recognition program sponsored by Medtronic was announced at the 2016 AORN Surgical Conference & Expo in Anaheim, California. Medtronic is a long-standing partner of the AORN Foundation supporting education and patient safety resources for perioperative nurses.

This three-year national health education effort will help surgical team members and hospital administrators reduce and eliminate surgical smoke in operating rooms. The AORN Go Clear Award exemplifies Medtronic and the AORN Foundation’s commitment to the nurses who make surgery safe.
