The AORN Foundation awards scholarships to students who are pursuing a career in perioperative nursing and to registered nurses who are continuing their education in perioperative nursing by pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree.

CNOR Certification Grants
CNOR Certification grants are supported by the Competency & Credentialing Institute (CCI). The application is now open for both individuals and organizations to apply for funding. The individual grants are intended for nurses sitting for the CNOR exam for the first time. They will receive a $500 grant will help cover expenses for test prep materials and the exam fee. The organizational grants are intended for facilities to provide group programming for CNOR test preparation.
Continuing Education Grants
The AORN Foundation does not currently offer funding for the Periop 101 course. If your facility would like to apply for funding for this program, please search for funding options at one of the below links:

Professional Development Grants
The Foundation offers professional development grants to help nurses maintain competency and to ensure safe and high-quality care.
The application for the AORN Global Surgical Conference & Expo 2017 is now closed. These grants are intended to assist with travel and registration costs to attend the conference in Boston, MA from April 1-5, 2017. The deadline for application was December 4, 2016.
Emails have been sent to all grant recipients for 2017.
