Barbara L. Nalley, MSN, RN, NP-C, ANP-BC, CNOR, RNFA

Barbara Nalley has received numerous awards for excellence during a career that has seen her recognized twice for outstanding practice in women’s health and as an advance practice nurse. She has served in a variety of leadership positions over her career, and currently works as the lead nurse practitioner with the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Group specializing in urogynecology and gynecology. Nalley is passionate about perioperative patient care and has presented at local and national levels on RSI, communication, trends for the APN, and the value of recognition. Her honors include: the Vitteck Award for Academic Excellence, the AORN Award for Excellence in Clinical Practice, and the Anne Arundel Medical Center Award for Nursing Excellence (twice). She has also served at both the local and national levels with AORN, spent time on several committees, and currently serves on the Clinical Nurse Practice Committee.
