This document provides guidance to the perioperative team for selecting a sterilization method, sterilizing reusable medical devices using multiple methods including, low-temperature hydrogen peroxide and ozone methods. Items that enter sterile tissue, including the vascular system, are categorized as critical using the Spaulding classification and should be sterile when used.
