SAVE TIME AND TROUBLE
Wrapped Trays Go Straight to the Case Cart
Why take an extra step and put wrapped instrument trays on storage racks when you can move them directly onto the case carts where they're going to end up? That was what we asked ourselves when we racked our brains about a problem we were having — too many holes in blue wrappers and too many trays having to be reprocessed. Since the holes tend to be caused by over-handling and since 90% of our case carts are either basic hip or basic knee carts, we figured, why not cut out the middleman? Now when our sterile supply staff wrap basic hip and knee trays, they move them directly onto the pre-designated, labeled and cooled case carts. Not only do we save time by eliminating the extra step, we've also reduced the number of holes we're seeing.
