Display a Variety of Images on a Single Screen
With ORs displaying a wider variety and larger volume of image data, it's not uncommon for your surgeon's head to swivel from monitor to monitor. Rather than displaying images on a mix of different monitors, wouldn't it be nice to display a variety of modality information at once on a single screen? Now you can, thanks to EIZO's RadiForce RX650, a 30-inch color LCD monitor that gives you full control of the screen layout. The 6-megapixel screen provides enough space to display numerous applications at once in consistent color. The RadiForce RX650 will be available in March.

Mobile C-Arm

Motorized, Mobile C-Arm
If you've long wished for a fully motorized mobile C-arm that delivers crystal-clear images, Ziehm Imaging has made your dream come true. The Vision RFD Hybrid Edition offers full motorization of a mobile C-arm in 4 axes: horizontal, vertical, orbital rotation and in angulation. At the touch of a button, you can store each position and call it up again at any time. This lets the operator access the desired viewing angles and anatomic visualizations without having to constantly reposition the system on the OR table. This space- and cost-saving alternative to fixed installed systems features intuitive joystick operation, a 25kW generator and maximum image quality with minimal dose, says the company.

Mobile Intraoperative Imaging

Mobile Intraoperative Imaging
Your surgeons can image the entire spine in a single scan in about 30 seconds and visualize more anatomical context than with 3D C-arms with BrainLab's Airo, a diagnostic-quality CT scanner with an extra-slim gantry design you can easily move from OR to OR. The extra-large (107cm) bore diameter enables patient scans in treatment positions that were previously challenging or even impossible with conventional CTs, says the company. Airo is ideal for cranial, spine and trauma procedures. It provides high-resolution images and lets surgeons directly update BrainLab navigation intraoperatively. It comes with an integrated OR table system from Trumpf.

Close Keyholes

Close Keyholes in Less Than a Minute
If you've ever watched your surgeons grapple to locate sutures in the abdominal wall, you know that simpler and safer port site closure after laparoscopic surgery is easier said than done. The neoClose device swiftly and easily closes the wound. It consists of an AccuGuide that aids the accurate delivery of a bioabsorable PGA suture and attached bioabsorbable AutoAnchor, using the trocar as the reference point. The device can be deployed under full pneumo/inflation in 3 simple steps in less than a minute.

Regional Blocks

Regional Blocks Made Easier
The Contiplex C from B. Braun Medical, with its catheter-over-the-needle design, is designed to make continuous regional nerve blocks both easier and safer. Instead of having to thread the catheter, you deliver a single shot. The echogenic needle and catheter are both easy to see via ultrasound. Once you hit your target, just withdraw the needle and you're set: The catheter stays put. Its 25G-size is also designed to be less traumatic to patients than larger needles.

Versatile Lights

Versatile Lights Provide Accurate Views
The Volista LED light system from Maquet Medical Systems adjusts between 3,900 ?, 4,500 ? and 5,100 ? Kelvin for constant color rendering, giving surgeons accurate views of anatomical structures during all surgeries, even those performed in deep cavities, says the company. The system's divergent light beams meet at the surgical site with minimal peripheral reflections and consistently equivalent levels. Proprietary system designs automatically adjust illumination to eliminate variations in LED output and increase the output of unblocked LEDs to maintain consistent radiance if the surgeon's head enters the light path. The Volista LEDs are compatible with Maquet's Connect to Operate platform, which lets staff quickly exchange lightheads, cameras and monitors on easily maneuvered suspension arms in order to configure equipment as needed.
