DO-IT-YOURSELF PROJECT
A $5 Label Dispenser Made from PVC Pipe

For about $5 in materials and with a little ingenuity, my husband created this functional, long-lasting label dispenser made from PVC pipe. It neatly holds several rolls of labels. We bolted the label holder to the top of our oral airway pull-out bins. Then we attached the bin to the OR wall so that it’s within easy reach for the anesthesia team. This frees up space on top of the anesthesia cart for medication prep. The PVC elbows on either end remove easily to replace empty rolls. Several surveyors and consultants have commended us for our low-cost solution and creativity.
