Purpose

There are many types of emergencies/disasters that the perioperative team must be prepared for and these situations can happen at any time. This comprehensive tool kit will raise perioperative team members’ awareness of emergency/disaster situations and help to prepare them for an emergency/disaster event. Use these proactive tools to promote awareness, plan effective response strategies, and develop department-specific, evidence-based policies and procedures to protect perioperative patients and team members.
