AORN's Government Affairs department supports advocacy on behalf of perioperative nurses before legislative and regulatory bodies at both the state and federal levels.
Based on recommendations from the National Legislative Committee and the President-elect, each year the AORN board of directors establishes legislative priorities for the Government Affairs department to pursue in legislative and regulatory arenas nationwide.
