High Acuity Spine Surgery in an Outpatient Surgery Center

Overview:  

This session will provide an overview of appropriate patient selection for a spine case in the outpatient environment and who is the right surgeon for this setting. It will define the differences between a simple and a complex spine case and what is needed to manage the full spectrum of these cases in an ambulatory surgery center. The attendee will come away with not only an understanding of the safety issues for this population but also the issues with third-party payor reimbursement.
