2012/13 National Legislative Committee Announced

AORN’s government affairs department is delighted to announce that Jane Kusler-Jensen, MBA BSN RN CNOR, is the new Chair of AORN’s National Legislative Committee. Ms. Kusler-Jensen has served on AORN’s board of directors and is well-versed in health care reform and the policy issues currently facing perioperative nurses.
Dianna McCorkle, BSN RN CNOR, of New Jersey has been selected as the new Region 1 representative to the NLC. The remaining regional representatives will stay the same for the 2012/13 year: Region 2 is represented by Steve Balog, MSN RN CNOR; Region 3 is represented by Sophia Schild, MSN EdD RN CNOR; Region 4 is represented by Karen Knapp, BSN RN CRNFA CNOR; and Region 5 is represented by Joy Don Baker, PhD RN-BC CNE CNOR NEA-BC. AORN’s board liaison to the NLC will again be Denise Jackson, MSN RN CNS-BC CRNFA.
