The Foundation offers professional development scholarships to help nurses maintain competency and to ensure safe and high-quality care through select educational programs.

Ambulatory Administrator Boot Camp Grant 

Grants are now available up for the Ambulatory Administrator Boot Camp on August 14-16, 2013 in Denver, CO. Receive up to $500! The 3-day intensive training helps administrators develop the necessary skills needed to successfully manage every aspect of an ambulatory surgery facility; from daily operations to regulatory requirements.

HAI Facility Grant 

The AORN Foundation is offering a grant for $5,000 to one health care facility to support the development of a HAI prevention program. The program should develop tools and resources that empower healthcare professionals to bring sustained behavior change to the facility. The grant is supported by 3M Infection Prevention Division.

Academic Scholarships

The AORN Foundation awards scholarships to students who are pursuing a career in perioperative nursing and to registered nurses who are continuing their education in perioperative nursing by pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree.

The application process for the 2013-14 school year is now open. Apply online.  All applications must be submitted by midnight on June 15, 2013.
