Birthday Fundraiser

When you start a nonprofit fundraiser on Facebook, 100% of the funds you raise go to the nonprofit.

1. On your computer, login to Facebook.
2. On the right-hand side of your screen click on the “waffle iron.
   • Scroll down and click on “fundraiser”
   • Select Non-Profit
   • Enter AORN Foundation
   • On the left side of the screen review and personalize messaging
   • Click Create
3. Click Get Started.
4. A message will pop up congratulating you on creating your fundraiser. From there, you can invite your friends to donate, share your fundraiser in your News Feed, or donate to the fundraiser yourself.

If you are sharing your Giving Group in a direct text or email, you may want to consider including a personal message along with the link to your Giving Group. It’s up to you: Either send a group message or a personalized message to friends and family you are hoping will help support your celebration through generosity.

 You may choose to include the following information in your message, or in the description in your Giving Group:

• Why you have chosen the cause or charity
• What impact the charity you have chosen is working towards
• How long your birthday fundraiser will run

We recommend setting up and sharing your birthday fundraiser 2-4 weeks before the day of the celebration.
