Accreditation

ANCC

The Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) is accredited with distinction as a provider of continuing nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (provider #P0041).

CBRN

AORN is provider-approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP 13019. Check with your state board of nursing for acceptability of education sessions for re-licensure.

NCCT

National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) has partnered with AORN as a source of quality continuing education courses for surgical technologists. In accordance with its Outside CE Course Submission and Acceptance Policy for recertification, contact hours provided by AORN may be completed and submitted to NCCT for outside CE approval for recertification credit.

CASC

We have applied for AEU credits for CASC and expect to be approved for 16.5-19 hours of AEU credits by BASC Provider #4254.

Available Contact Hours

Contact hours are calculated based on a 60-minute contact hour (CH) (60 minutes = 1 contact hour). A total of 16.5 contact hours (CH) may be earned.

AORN will award contact hours for attendance at sessions that contain continuing nursing education content. To earn contact hours for a session, participants must attend at least 90% session.
