REVERSE OSMOSIS
Distilled Water, Right From the Tap

Instead of buying and storing bulky gallon jugs of sterile or distilled water to rinse our delicate ophthalmic instruments with, we installed a reverse osmosis water filter system in the instrument processing room here at our eye surgery center. Now, we have the correct type of water right on tap. Talk about convenience!

As you can see in the photo on the right, the tap routes through a 5-gallon metal tank that sits in the cupboard under the sink. Reverse osmosis removes sodium, chloride, fluoride and other difficult-to-treat contaminants. Not only does it make processing instruments much easier, but also we have great drinking water and better-tasting coffee.
