Remoisten ECG Pads With Drops of Saline

Having trouble with dried-out ECG pads falling off patients? You're not alone. It's common for the center glue areas on pads to dry out when you remove them from their packaging. Simply pull a couple milliliters of saline solution from a clean IV bag and place a few drops in the center of the pads. That will moisten the jelly and help them stick. You'll also avoid tossing pads that have dried out, letting you use more of the pads you stock. Note: This tip works best on paper, not plastic, ECG pads.
