Here's a quick and easy way to mask surgical odors. Put a drop or 2 of food-grade candy flavoring on a 2x2 pledget, and insert it inside your surgical mask. The flavorings are non-toxic, and come in various scents like cherry, peppermint, cinnamon and creme de menthe.
