Exam Room Flags
Hang exam room flags outside each pre-operative bay. It's an easy way for all to see where the patient is in the process. Each of the 6 flag colors can indicate whatever you'd like. Here's what we chose:
Red | Contact precautions |
Green | Go (or ready for surgery) |
Yellow | Waiting (to go to surgery) |
Blue | Anesthesia (there is an anesthesia need) |
White | Privacy (the patient doesn't want to be disturbed) |
Black | Housekeeping (the bay is ready to be cleaned) |
