Traffic in and out of the operating room is a potential source of infection. To cut down on traffic, we have placed hand sanitizer dispensers on the wall inside the ORs as well as by the scrub stations. Every time staff use the sanitizers in the room, that's 2 fewer times (one out, one back in) that the door has opened.
