Keep Cool
Avoid the Mess of Cryo/Cuffs

We often send our surgery patients home with Cryo/Cuff ice wraps — the kind that use a canister filled with ice water that keeps the wrap cold for several hours. Generally you first fill the canister with ice, then water, to use the wrap. But we've found that if you take a water bottle, freeze it and put that in the canister with water, it helps simplify the process and won't result in messy, melted ice everywhere.
