Instagram is often touted as a mindless distraction, but sometimes that endless scrolling can lead you to an ingenious idea. For example, @rnnewgrads, an Instagram page with more than 30,000 followers, posted a quick hot pack hack in case you are out of warm compresses. All you need is a big cup, hot water, a washcloth and a specimen bag. Mix the hot water (snag some from the coffee machine) with some cool water in a big cup and soak the washcloth. Wring it out and place it in the specimen bag. The post advises to test the temperature of the compress before giving it to a patient. OSM
