Real-time Patient Feedback Improves Post-Op Care

The PainBlock Pro platform from Avanos Medical gives patients the tools they need to prepare themselves for pain relief after surgery, and lets providers track patients’ recoveries and pain levels for up to 10 days following surgery. Patients who download the platform’s user-friendly app have access to educational resources and answers to routine questions about post-op pain management, notifications from providers and daily check-in surveys. The platform’s dashboard gives providers reports about patient-reported pain levels, side effects, opioid usage, overall satisfaction levels and notifications of patients who might require immediate attention. Avanos Medical says PainBlock Pro, which is secure and HIPAA-compliant, improves clinical efficiencies by automating much of the follow-up care performed by clinical staff and keeps patient engaged in acheiving optimal recoveries.
