Shower Curtain Rod Contains Cords

We cut a plastic shower curtain rod cover into 2-foot sections and wrap it around cords lying across the base of our OR table. This keeps the cords from falling onto surgeons' feet during the procedure and protects the cords from being pinched when we raise or lower the bed. Each 6-foot long shower rod cover costs around $1.50 at a home supply store and makes 3 sections, which we dispose of between cases. You can use easily cut the rod with scissors.
