As the population of the United States is projected to undergo significant changes over the next several decades, it is essential for healthcare organizations to create cultures that are diverse, equitable, and inclusive for patients and employees. Nurses and clinical leaders should understand the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and strategies for creating a culture where employees and patients feel respected and valued in healthcare.
