The California Division of Workers' Compensation's recent fee schedule adjustments have left its ASC rates unchanged, with reimbursement remaining at 122% of CMS's hospital outpatient rates.
"This is very good news for the ASC industry," says the California Ambulatory Surgery Association. It notes that earlier proposals would have reset the rate to 122% of CMS's ASC fee schedule (an overall cut of 40% to 60%) and to 100% of CMS's HOPD fee schedule, both of which association and facility leaders protested.
The updated fee schedules, scheduled to take effect on Sept. 15, and related information, can be viewed on the California workers' compensation division's fee schedule website.
The California Ambulatory Surgery Association says it is planning to post a 2011 workers' comp calculator on its own website.
